BANG. A third issue.

BOUFFE is a quarterly food magazine and it goes beyond recipes. In fact, there is not even one recipe in there! The magazine looks into the recesses of the food industry in order to discover unexplored deepness. The content is original, audacious, funny, smart-mouthed and joyful. It portrays the meaningful side of food, and its cultural and identity role, without neglecting the fact that it is also a daily source of pleasure.

The theme of this third issue of BOUFFE is the season of winter, so we called it “Surgelée” (which means “frozen food”). We wanted to evoke a utopian world where it would be possible to feed exclusively on local food, regardless of the season. The magazine cover is the starting point of a small thought on the subject: to what extent is it possible to satiate our appetite all year round, eating local food, in a country as cold as ours?
