BANG. A thirty-year-old photo studio.
BANG. A new visual identity.
Studio Griffintown has trusted a creative studio specialized in visual identity. Situated in the neighbourhood of the same name for over 30 years, this well-established company wanted to update their branding and draw attention to their photo equipment renting and delivery services.
The objective was to give a high-end aspect to these two services. After few collaborations with Studio Griffintown, we gathered their typical characteristics and we had the idea to design an industrial and playful graphic platform around a semi-present character, since he will be making deliveries. A “carrier” pigeon seemed to be the perfect scapegoat: he takes over sidewalks and he perches on signs and buildings’ cornices all around the neighbourhood. A typographic signature inspired by metallic letters that were fixed at the height of steel wires or in front of businesses back in the 20th century seemed to be a perfect amalgam.
